New landlords have taken over the Fox And Hounds in Great Moulton, putting an end to its uncertain future for a year.
Les and Pat Christman have rented the pub from its owner Marilyn Forder on a one-year tenancy agreement.

Mrs Forder has applied to South Norfolk Council for permission to turn the pub into a house, after being unable to sell it, so she could retire.

But it would appear the application is on hold for at least the next year while Mr and Mrs Christman run the pub.

Protest group the Great Moulton Action Committee was set up to fight the application, leading to a long-running dispute between them and Mrs Forder.

Mr Christman, who took over on April 1, said: “We want to bring it back to the heart of the village. I believe in the ‘pub is the hub’ slogan.”

The couple used to run The White Horse in Kenninghall between 2001 and 2007 and were eager to get back into the trade and plan to build up the business.
